What if being a grandparent could be an opportunity for growth, not just a new family role?

Togther we will explore the strengths, struggles, relationships, and growth of the Torah's first families and use their stories as a lens for our own grandparenting journeys. We will consider what it means to build meaningful connection, navigate changing family dynamics, establish boundaries, and create a Jewish legacy that feels authentically our own.

Meet Your Teacher

Rabbanit Sharona Hassan is a master Jewish educator, MSW, and the founder of Grand Plan. For more than 25 years, she has worked with Jewish families and communities in the United States, Australia, and Israel, including day schools, camps, synagogues, youth programs, Birthright, and Momentum.

As a former Rubissa/Rebbetzin emeritus and longtime educator, Sharona brings both deep Jewish knowledge and a practical understanding of the joys and complexities of family life.

Today, she brings that experience to a question she believes deserves more attention:

What does it mean to be a grandparent with intention, purpose, and joy?
